Properties & Uses

The EQ-505 reverse osmosis membrane cleaning agent is an alkaline reverse osmosis cleaning agent with a liquid formulation of high pH value. It is mainly used to remove organic matter, colloids, microorganisms, bacteria, and particulate substances. Its excellent cleaning effect can extend the operation time of the membrane.

Key Features & Benefits:

·         Suitable for aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis membranes, hollow fiber membranes, as well as nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes.

·         Effectively removes Silica Fouling and Organic Fouling.

·         The pH of the diluted solution should be adjusted and maintained between 11.0 and 12.0.

·         Provides superior cleaning results when used in combination with the acidic membrane cleaning agent EQ-501. It removes oil stains, organic matter, and biological membrane (biofilm) on the membrane surface.

Usage & Dosage Method

·         Dosage Concentration: Calculate dosage according to water quality analysis report and system conditions. Technical engineers recommend a dosage concentration of 5% – 10%.

·         System Preparation: Check and rinse the entire RO cleaning system prior to use to ensure clean conditions.

·         Temperature Range: During cleaning, fluid temperature should be maintained within the required range (25°C – 35°C).

·         Multi-Section Systems: For multi-stage/section RO systems, clean each section separately for optimal results.

·         Solution Maintenance & Flushing: If the cleaning solution becomes turbid or the pH value strays outside the recommended range, reformulate or supplement with a cleaning agent. Flush the system thoroughly with RO permeate/product water before putting it back into operation.

Packaging, Storage & Safety Protection

Packaging & Storage:
• Standard Packaging: 25 kg net Plastic Drum (or customized per client requirements).
• Storage Life: 12 to 24 months when stored in a cool, dry place.

Safety Protection:
• In case of contact with eyes or skin, flush immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
